Little man is growing so fast! At every appointment, the doctors tell me he is in the 99% range for everything and completely healthy. With him being a big boy now, it is time to transition to his big boy bed. Normally, we would just switch the mattress from the crib to a toddler bed, but since jumping has been one of the major aspects of his autism, his old mattress is just not up to par. So, it was perfect timing for us to check out and do a review for the Wovenaire Crib Mattress by Newton Baby!
Wovenaire Crib Mattress Review
From the moment that big box came off the delivery truck, little man was as happy as can be! (Seriously, what child can resist a box?) When we opened the box to reveal the mattress, he instantly began to jump on it! Thankfully, it still had the plastic cover on it because he feet were so dirty!
This mattress is so modernized, better than any mattress we have had over the last ten years. The Wovenaire crib mattress is breathable, washable, and recyclable when you are done with it.
The Wovenaire mattress has some pretty cool features. The first of these is that it is literally just that, cool. Little man sweats so much during his sleep. Since this mattress is made from food grade polymer, it allows air to flow right through it! Little man has slept so much better since receiving his Wovenaire crib mattress!
The other cool feature I am absolutely in love with is the super easy cleaning. Little man loves water, so there are times where his pull-ups do not old it all in a night-time. Since this bed is soft, you would think that would cause some major problems. Quite the opposite is true!
So, how exactly do you clean a mattress?
With the Wovenaire crib mattress being made from food grade polymer, it is so simple to clean but you will rarely ever have to do it! The cloud like cover that wraps around the entire mattress is very water-resistant, and is easy to remove and toss in the laundry. If you ever do have to clean the mattress out (all parents seem to have to go through one explosive diaper at least!), then take the cover off and spray out the mattress in the shower. Let it dry and it is good as new!
How comfortable is the mattress, will I get my money’s worth?
Oh my goodness, let’s phrase it this way. I am jealous of my toddler’s mattress!! Since we have been transitioning him (which is hard with autism), many nights I have laid in his bed with him. Twice, I fell asleep in the bed all night long. When the girls were little and this happened, I would wake up with a sore back and neck. Not with the Wovenaire crib mattress! I woke up feeling better than I do in my own bed! Yes, I fully admitted I am jealous of his mattress!
We even tested it out with the bowling ball test! Okay, not really, but we did test it out with a Thomas the train ball and little man jumping beside it. The results were first very adorable, and awesome! He was jumping like a mad man, and that light weight little ball barely budged at all! This mattress has definitely been put to the test by little man, and passed with flying colors!
